I am in tears after watching this…my 93 year old mom passed away this past March so this is especially poignant to both see and feel. My mom had dementia but always had a smile for everyone and expressed her gratitude for those who took care of her, especially my sister! While mom couldn’t remember names, what she had for lunch, etc. she loved music and could sing along to the old songs. here favorite which she sang often at the end of her life was “Show me the way to go home…I’m tired…” She prayed that Jesus would take her home because she was ready to go! I have to believe that there is indeed a place for all of us after death and that it is a place of peace. Why else would people at the end of their lives ask Jesus to take them home?
Thank you for your wonderful comment anniej! I know that you must still terribly miss your mother, but maybe time has allowed you to now remember her more from the time before dementia. And what a relief to know that all of her is still with you, not just the last years.
What a wonderful video!
It gives you hope that sometimes you truly make a connection.
wow. Amazing. Thank you. I will share on my blog.
Wow…
When she began to sing with you…
Thanks for my smile this evening.
